[Music]. [Applause]. [Music]. From the earliest times of man through the industrial age- cannabis is specifically. Hemp was a global commodity. Almost every aspect of daily life had some touch point around the cannabis industry. It helped create various trade routes. It was key to many flourishing civilizations, mostly as a medicine, a food and, of course, is a textile. Hemp is
utilized for apparel because it has these intrinsic values that relate directly to the fiber. One awesome one is it's thermoconductive. So when you touch hemp fabric it's naturally going to feel cool against your skin. You can make it
into all kinds of different textiles and all kinds of different products, and for us that matters because whether it's an active product or whether it's a casual lifestyle product, it meets all of our customers needs. [Music].
Hemp is different than other crops used in apparel because it's a lot more sustainable. When you grow it, the life cycle of him to create apparel, create material out of it, it's a very short period of time. It's a green product because you're avoiding the pesticides, herbicides, all of those types of things
that come with a conventional crop. It's naturally antimicrobial, so it'll actually kill bacteria. You're going to be cleaner after wearing hemp than you would if you just put on regular pants. [Music]
Unfortunately, there has been this kind of misnomer about hemp clothing being like rough and hippy, but actually it weaves into beautiful, fine fabrics. One of the things that consumers doesn't really know: hemp is very soft, so it's no different than having a cotton t-shirt on you or a cotton pants on you- everything from a fashion garment to an actual active apparel garment. It has great properties.
We're thinking in that former market mentality of saying where is this coming from? What was the impact? And for that to be successful it requires a whole bunch of thoughtful people always asking those questions and challenging each other. When the consumer purchases hemp fabrics or products, they're really doing a lot to help the environment, whether they realize it or not. There's not many fibers out there in this synthetic world that we can say that about. It's kind of a wonderful. [Music]
